The fine print

Policies

Deposits, cancellations, privacy and the legal notices a medical practice is expected to publish.

Deposits

A $100 deposit is required to secure an appointment. It is nonrefundable and is applied toward the cost of the services you receive.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the provider's day that could have been filled by another patient. We require 24 hours' notice for any cancellation or change to your appointment.

If you give less than 24 hours' notice, or miss your appointment, two things happen: the $100 deposit is forfeited, and a $50 cancellation fee is charged to the card on file. Canceling or moving your appointment with more than 24 hours' notice costs you nothing and your deposit carries over.

Payment and refunds

All services are elective and are out-of-pocket. We do not accept insurance, checks, or other third-party reimbursement. We accept cash, major credit and debit cards, and approved payment plans.

Payment is due in full at the time of service unless a payment plan has been arranged and approved in advance. Where a payment plan is in place, scheduled payments are your responsibility, a late fee may apply as set out in your payment agreement, and unresolved balances may pause further treatment.

All sales are final. We do not refund services already provided, or unused portions of treatment packages, prepaid services or memberships. Exceptions are considered only in specific circumstances and must be reviewed and approved by management.

Payment plans are offered through Cherry and Affirm. Both are third parties with their own terms, and approval is theirs rather than ours.

Before and after photographs

Before and after photographs of all treatment areas are required and are uploaded securely into your medical chart. This is standard practice for clinical documentation, treatment planning and progress tracking. A team member photographs the treatment area before the procedure, and a second set may be taken afterwards to document the immediate result.

These images are part of your medical record. They are used to monitor outcomes over time, guide future treatment planning, support accurate documentation, and meet legal and professional standards of care.

They are stored securely in your chart. Clinical photographs are not shared outside the practice. They are part of your medical record and are used for your care.

The one exception is if you decide otherwise. Images appear on this website, on social media or in any other public place only where the patient has signed a separate written authorization for that use. That authorization is not part of consenting to treatment: it is voluntary, you are free to decline it, and declining changes nothing about the care you receive or what it costs.

You can withdraw it in writing at any time. Withdrawal stops any further use from that point. It cannot recover what has already been published or printed, which is worth knowing before you sign rather than after.

Results and expectations

Individual results vary and are not guaranteed. Body chemistry, healing response, lifestyle and other factors all affect the outcome of any treatment, and no technique or expertise makes results uniform between people. Nothing on this site is a guarantee of a particular outcome, and no treatment is recommended before a licensed clinician has assessed you in person. Expected results, risks and limitations are discussed at consultation.

Photographs published on this site show real patients who gave written consent, and are not retouched.

Privacy and terms

How this practice handles your information, your rights over your health records, and the terms that apply to using this website are set out in full on the privacy and terms page. That page carries the website privacy policy, the Notice of Privacy Practices and the terms of use.

This site does not collect health information through any public form. Booking is handled by a third-party scheduling provider under its own privacy terms.

Treatment of minors

We treat adults only. Every patient must be 18 or older, and we do not provide any treatment described on this site to anyone under 18.

Medical direction

The practice's Medical Director is Akram Mustafa, MD. The clinicians who assess and treat you are advanced practice nurses licensed in New Jersey.

Questions about these policies

Speak to a member of the front desk or the administrative team before your appointment about any balance, payment option or financial agreement. Questions or complaints about the privacy notice go to the Office Manager or Practice Owner on (201) 824-2200.

Written requests about your records or your privacy go to the Privacy Officer at the practice address, which is on the privacy and terms page.

Open payments notice

For informational purposes: the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services publishes an Open Payments database recording payments of value from manufacturers of drugs and devices to physicians and teaching hospitals. It is available at openpaymentsdata.cms.gov.
